Congratulations to all the finalists and winners of the
2016 MainPower North Canterbury Sports Awards & MainPower Youth Sport Scholarships

North Canterbury businesses, sports clubs, athletes and sports officials celebrated the regions best sporting talent at the 15th annual MainPower North Canterbury Sports Awards last Friday night. Three hundred guests attended the gala dinner at the Ohoka Sport & Events Centre where winners were announced in 13 categories covering all aspects of sport from players to administrators to long-term service awards, and at all levels from grass roots to success at international level.

The 10 MainPower Youth Sport Scholarship finalists were also presented with their scholarships on the night.

2014 MainPower North Canterbury Sports Awards and Scholarships

The 13th annual North Canterbury Sports Awards was held on Friday 31st October at the Kaiapoi Club.  TV3's Mike McRoberts was MC of this event, providing great entertainment with stories of his reporting experiences and conducting some fantastic interviews with Angie Smit, Anton Cooper, Maria Hassan and Alex Kennedy.

The winners were announced in each category, as well as the three MainPower and NCSRT Sport Scholarship winners.
